Lots of stars in the sky - Canon 5D Mark II @ 24mm; 8.0 sec; f/2.2; ISO 100
Before going for a run, I looked at the sky and noticed how I could see lots of stars right above me. And here in the middle of Long Island, NY, there is a lot of light pollution and, especially during Summer time, when the skies tend to be "dirtier", I usually don't see that many stars in the sky. And the brightest object in the image is actually the moon, in its Last Quarter phase.
So I stopped and contemplated the sky for a moment. It was so quiet (it seemed that all the neighbors were still sleeping), that I made sure to enjoy the moment. It is not very often I can get that.
